If you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life.

Respectfully, work will still find you.  Regardless of your efforts, know that problems will find you even in the best of circumstances.

This is more about human nature than about success.  A common adage is "God is great, people suck, pass the beer."   Deal with the adversity but don't lose sight of what really matters.

In short, be prepared to "circle the wagons!"

Surround yourself with people who raise you up, help you improve and make you better.   Surround yourself with an environment that supports and nurtures you emotionally.

Surround yourself with habits and practices that acknowledge the pain is coming and support your shields against it.

Surround yourself with nourishing food and beverage that keep your energies up to be healthy enough to deal with what's coming.

Do what you can to retain your joy and despite the invasion of adversity, you will prevail.
